Memorial "12 Baby's"

Every war is terrible from the first to the last moment, and as in every war there is always a time, and that one event that brings more bitterness, sorrow and guilt than all the others. For the citizens of Banja Luka, many will say, this was May and June 1992 when, cut off from the world, they made superhuman efforts to save babies in their local maternity hospital. 12 babies died in Banja Luka from May 22 to June 19, 1992, due to lack of oxygen. Only two survived, Sladjana, who died at the age of 13, and Marko, who has cerebral palsy, quadriplegia, total paralysis of all limbs, and brain damage that only leaves him hearing and seeing.
