War Memorial Hofgastein

At the end of a beautiful lane that provides access to the local cemetery, small houses have been placed on the left and right at the entrance, each with black marble plaques bearing the names of those who died in both world wars. There are also 2 plaques with inscriptions that read;

In commemoration of the heroes of the World War 1914 - 1918
Our fallen, missing and those who died in the local hospital
donated by the municipality and the Hofgastein War Society and the Black Cross

In commemoration of the heroes of the Second World War
1939 - 1945
Dedicated to our fallen and missing soldiers by the Hofgastein Municipal and War Society
