Memorial Impact V1 Pepinster

Memorial in commemoration of American soldiers who died at this location at Pepinster due to the impact explosion of a V.1. (Vergeltungswaffe 1) rocketbomb on December 18th 1944 at the 'Von Rundstedt' offensive.

In the United States of America the 'von Rundstedt offensive' is better known as 'the Battle of the Bulge".

The monument is located at a hillside on the Rue Louis Biérin and the river Vesdre.

The tekst on the monument is in French and English.

In memory of American soldiers, victims of a V.1. by the rush of von Rundstedt the 18th of December 1944.
