Crash Site B-24D 42-63988 Birmingham Blitzkrieg

The Consolidated B-24D 42-63988 "Birmingham Blitzkrieg" from 93rd Bomb Group, 328th Bomb Squadron, was shot down on November 13th, 1943 over the North Sea, east of Husum, Germany, by a Focke Wulf Fw 190A-6, piloted by Franz Steiner. A total of ten crew members and an observer were on board. All were KIA. The cras site is approximate, the exact location is not known.
