Museum USS Constitution

USS Constitution was the third of six three-masted wooden-hulled heavy frigates launched in 1797. She was crewed by 450 including 30 boys and 55 Marines and armed with 30 x 24 cannon, 20 x 32 pounder carronades and 2 x 24 pounder bow chasers.
Her first duties were to to provide protection for American Merchant ships during the Quasi-War (1798-1800) with France and to beat the Barbary pirates in the First Barbary War (1801-1805).
During the war of 1812 she captured numerous British merchant ships and defeated 5 British warships, HMS Guerriere, Java, Pictou, Cyane, and Levant in single ship to ship battles. The battle against Guerriere earned her the nickname of 'Old Ironsides'
During the American Civil War she served as a training ship for the US Naval Academy at Annapolis.
She became a museum in 1907 and has been repeatedly saved from scrapping until she is now the world's oldest commissioned naval warship afloat. HMS Victory is older but is in dry dock.
