Belgian War Graves Dohan

The Dohan cemetery still contains several graves of those who died from both world wars.

Edmond DEMOULIN was a corporal in the 10th Line Regiment
He died on the field of honor on October 15, 1918 during a last attack for the liberation of the Yser. The corporal was shot in the head near the Kortemark mill. He was 28 years old.

Camille HALLET was reserve lieutenant 20th Artillery 1st Group 2nd Battery
Fallen on the field of honor in Zichen-Zussen-Bolder on May 10, 1940. He was 40 years old.
He was deployed as artillery support for the 18th Line between Vlijtingen and Vroenhoven along the Albert Canal.
Killed while trying to destroy their artillery pieces and evade capture after the nearby First Battery already suffered the same fate.

Charles DUMAY was a soldier with the 2nd Ardennes fighters, 3rd Bat 9th Comp
Fallen on the field of honor in Mespelare on May 19, 1940. He was 28 years old.
He was killed by a shell fragment during German attempts to cross the Dender between Gijzegem and Oudegem

Jean LAFORET died in 1945 at the age of 24.
