Belgian War Grave Haut-le-Wastia

The cemetery of Haut-le-Wastia contains the war grave of MELOT Désiré, born on October 24, 1916 and a soldier in the 1st Lancers.
He was killed in Zwijndrecht on May 19, 1940 in an attempt to drive the Germans back to the Scheldt after they had crossed it with rafts in Antwerp.
