Bullet Holes Australian Memorial Villers-Bretonneux

The National Australian Memorial which commemorates all Australian soldiers who fought and died in France and Belgium in World War I was severely damaged by shelling in World War II.

The memorial was restored in 1951 but some of the damage was left visible from historical interest.
