Memorial 3rd Württembergische Jägerbataillon Froeschwiller

This monument commemorates the participation of the 3rd Württembergischen Jägerbataillon in the battle of Reichshoffen on 6 August 1870.

The monument consists of grey sandstone with the battalion emblem in the crown. It is surrounded by a cast-iron fence. On the front is a plaque with the inscription:

"Das 3. Württembergische
Jägerbatallion
seinen im Feldzug
gegen Frankreich
1870-71
gefallenen tapferen
Kameraden"

On the back the names of the places where this unit fought

"Woerth - Lichtenberg - Sedan - Paris - Mont Mesly - Villiers - Le Plant".

Left and right on the monument the names of the fallen officers, non-commissioned officers and men.
