War Memorial Sorrento

In Piazza della Vittoria in Sorrento stands the Mors Immortalis monument overlooking the Gulf of Naples. It was founded in 1926, it is a work of sculptor Francesco Croce from Calabria.
The monument is a tribute to the fallen of Sorrento in the First World War. They were a small part of the more than 600,000 Italian soldiers who died in that war.
