Memorial Cathedral Antwerpen

In the cathedral in Antwerp there is a side chapel "Our Lady of Peace".
The altar is by Petrus De Roeck (1921-1924), the altar painting "Our Lady of Peace" (1924) is by Jozef Janssens, a Belgian painter from the Antwerp School.
The pedestal of the altar contains paintings of cities destroyed during WWI
In the center of the altar painting we see Our Lady with the Child on her lap, and church dignitaries are standing on the left and right.
King Knight Albert I is kneeling at the front left, Queen Nurse Elisabeth is kneeling on the right next to a wounded soldier.

On the wall hangs a memorial plaque for the fallen of the First World War, a work by F. Albert and Petrus De Roeck
"1914-1918
To the fallen soldiers of Our Lady parish"
Below that, in 3 columns, are the 46 names of the victims.
