Belgian War Graves Marloie

Marloie cemetery contains war graves from the First and Second World Wars.

BREUSKIN Lucien, born in Marloie on October 27, 1893.
He was a soldier 2nd class, 9th Line 2nd Bat. 6th Cie.
He died for his country on April 14, 1916 in Pas-de-Calais.
He was admitted to hospital on January 5, 1916 and died there on April 14, 1916 of pulmonary tuberculosis. He was buried in Calais and later transferred to the municipal cemetery of Marloie in 1922.

PHILIPPE René, born March 25, 1895.
He was part of the TTR (Transmission Troops). He died for his country on May 21, 1940 in Saint-Austreberthe (France).

GALLOY Raymond, born in Waha, October 12, 1894.
Civilian victim of the disaster in which a German army ammunition train stopping at Marloie station was shot at by Allied aircraft and exploded.
He died on May 31, 1944 in the Notre-Dame de Grâces clinic in Aye.

CREBEC Philomène, born in Waha on October 6, 1921
She was a civilian victim of the same Marloie disaster (explosion of a German army ammunition train, stopped at Marloie station and shot at by Allied aircraft). She died on July 15, 1944 in the Notre-Dame de Grâces clinic in Aye.
