Memorial Chasseurs Alpins Øse

This memorial is dedicated to the i]6e bataillon de chasseurs alpins and 14e bataillon de chasseurs alpins who fought here during the Norwegian Campaign in 1940.

A plaque has been placed on the monument with the following text:

'A la mémoire des 6 ème et 14 ème Bataillons de Chasseurs Alpines Français qui ont combattu côte a côte avec des unités de la 6 ème division Norvégienne pour la liberation de la Norvège dans ce sector en avril et mai 1940.
Érigé et par des Norvégiens Recconaissants'

(In memory of the 6th and 14th Battalions of French Alpine Hunters who fought side by side with units of the 6th Norwegian Division for the liberation of Norway in this sector in April and May 1940. Erected by grateful Norwegians)
