Memorial 3rd Armored Division Mortain-Bocage

On the wall next to the church, opposite the Tourist Office, hangs a memorial plaque commemorating the deployment of the 3rd American Armored Division in the European theater of operations, from June 1944 to May 1945.
The record was inaugurated in 1994, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary. It bears the insignia of the 3rd Armored Division, whose nickname was Spearhead Division.
