Air-Raid Shelter Eigener Markt

In World War II, this bunker provided shelter to civilians and employees during Allied air-strikes and bombardments. It is one of four bunker which were build in Bottrop in 1941. The bunker proviced shelter for 476 people, on seven floors. During bombardments there were often more than 1000 persons in the bunker.
