This monument called “Gloria” was crafted by Arturo Stagliano and inaugurated by King Emmanuele III. It commemorates the 630 soldiers from Treviso who died during World War I and is the largest-and most important-of its kind in Veneto. The initiative for the monument originated as early as 1919 but it took until 1931 before it was actually realised. In 1944, it was damaged during a bombing raid and, after years of deterioration, it was restored and refilled in 2016.
