Ratmalana Airport

During the Second World War the airfield served as an RAF base, with No. 30 Squadron flying Hawker Hurricanes against Japanese aircraft. QEA (Quantas Empire Airways Limited) also operated flights from Perth with modified B-24 Liberators and Avro Lancastrians on what was then the world's longest non-stop air route.
