Little Court (Barnes Wallis’s Home)

Sir Barnes Willis lived here for 49 years. During World War II, Wallis conducted early experiments for the bouncing bomb in his garden, using a family washtub and his children's marbles to test the bomb’s skipping motion.

Willis is buried in St. Laurence Churchyard, Effingham.
