MI5 London Office
Prior to WW2, in August 1939, MI5 moved its vital departments to 57-58 St James’s Street, while non-vital departments were housed in Blenheim Palace.
It was here where Double Cross Committee met weekly from January 1941. This group of Allied intelligence and military personnel managed agents who misled the Germans, including the famous Juan Pujol ("Garbo"), influencing D-Day. The site also played a role in analyzing the impact of the dams raid and its strategic consequences.
