Memorial Secret Army Bottelare
On the wall of the cemetery is a memorial for the victims of the Secret Army, more specifically Le Héron.
In Belgium, the Secret Army consisted of five zones. East and West Flanders belonged to zone III. Each zone consisted of ten sectors, Ghent was one of them. Le Héron was one of the three “hiding places” in this sector.
