Tetrahedrons are barred concrete beams. Six beams form four equilateral triangles. In wartime, composed of beams weighing 260 pounds each. It is a very strong construction and meant to stop landing craft on the beach. Sometimes a mine was placed on top of this barrier. The tetrahedrons along the coast are also called coastal tetrahedrons or concrete tetrahedrons. The Germans called it 'Betonsperre'.
