A logistics point was established at this site under the command of Major General Rodney Keller. The sign contains the following text:

On Juno Beach, at Bernières-sur-Mer, on June 6, 1944 between 7 am and 8 am, troops of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division, under the command of Major-General Rodney KELLER, landed on the beach with the support of the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade and set up a logistic strong point which enabled the advance towards the inland objectives.
