On the edge of St Paul's Cathedral Cemetery, in 'un-consecrated ground' are three CWGC graves of four Hindu merchant sailors form the S.S. City of Cairo, two of them 'unknown'.
Panna. Topass. S.S. City of Cairo (Liverpool). Indian Merchant Navy. Died 20 Nov 1942. Aged 34.
Sultan Khan. Second Baker. S.S. City of Cairo (Liverpool) Merchant Navy. Died 7 Feb 1943. Aged 40.
(Topass was a term used by British Navy to describe someone of Indo-Portuguese descent employed in a menial role)
