Born of the Liberty Road Huy

At the beginning of the walkway to the citadel of Huy is the monument of the "Route to Freedom". It commemorates the liberation of the city of Huy on September 6, 1944 by the 3rd Armored Division of the American General Maurice Rose.
The information board was placed on September 6, 2024 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city.
