Memorial Liberation Niedermorschwihr

This plaque next to the monument to the dead of Niedermorschwihr commemorates the liberation of the village by the Americans on 2 February 1945. The text reads:

'Niedermorschwihr, liberated 2 February 1945 by the soldiers of the 28th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Colmar Pocket'
