Memorial Black Watch and Maisonneuve Regiments

This memorial, consisting of a boulder with two plaques on top, is dedicated to two Canadian regiments that were active in this region during the Second World War.

The first plaque commemorates the 693 officers, non-commissioned officers and men of The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment of Canada) who were killed, wounded or went missing during the fighting in July and August.

The second plaque is dedicated to the officers, non-commissioned officers and men of the Maisonneuve Regiment of Montreal who fought and died in the Saint-André-sur-Orne sector during the Second World War 1939-1945.
