War Memorial Maroccons Chauconin-Neufmontiers

At the beginning of the First World War, this Moroccan Brigade, whose existence lasted very short – no more than 44 days – was a separate unit.
It distinguished itself by resisting the enemy, but during the batle the losses were considerable: 1,150 soldiers were maimed, killed or missing, and 26 officers were killed or wounded that day alone.
