Borne 98 Dommartin-Dampierre

The starting point of the Route Voie de la Liberte, Borne 0 (note 00 is on Utah Beach!).
The route follows the path of the Allies under the command of General Patton and largely in Bastogne, the Belgian Ardennes.
This route was marked in 1947 with 1147 kilometre markers, which the French call Borne.
The markers are not numbered consecutively, but (often) indicate the kilometre position ten opposite the departmental border.
