Vintousky Monument Apremont-la-Forêt

Eugène disappeared on 21 December 1914 during the fighting at the Redoubt of Bois Brûlé, near the terrible Saint-Mihiel Salient.
During the war, his wife made many attempts to discover his fate without result.
After the war, she started pilgrimages to trace his movements. This tradition is still honored by the family today.
