Memorial Saussy Maquis Dijon

On the facade of house number 27 hangs a commemorative plaque with the following text:
“During the Resistance from June 6 to September 2, 1944.

This establishment housed the headquarters of the "French Forces of the Interior," the Saussy Maquis Intelligence Service.

We were tasked with warning of enemy troop movements, as well as predicted Maquis attacks, and arresting Germans isolated by the FBI Maquis. More than sixty German grenades were ultimately placed one by one here at the Junot barracks, with all the attendant risks.

You French, remember this.”
