Internment Camp on Bonaire
The Antilles Internment Camp was a prison camp on Bonaire where, from 10 May 1940, suspected sympathisers of Nazi Germany were imprisoned. Thirty German Jews who had fled to the Caribbean to escape the Nazis also ended up in this camp. The inmates performed their camp duties themselves.
