Huize Saint Louis
At Huize Saint Louis at Nassaulaan 30, Catholic friars taught Alkmaar boys. On May 19, 1943, an office of the Deutsche Dienststelle und Feldpost (German Service and Field Post Office) was established here, responsible for sending mail and parcels between the home front and German soldiers in the region.
Signs referring to both the Feldpost and the Kraftfahrt Transport Dienst (KTD) appeared on the nearby Kneppelbrug bridge, both located on Nassaulaan.
