In 1939, Dutch army barracks stood on Westerweg, where the 162nd Battery of Anti-Aircraft Artillery was stationed. During the occupation, German troops took over the camp; according to a resistance report from August 1944, the Herman Göring Division used the site as a training ground.
After the war, the camp served as a detention center for women suspected of collaboration with the Germans.
Only one photograph of the women's camp has survived. The camp is also visible in an aerial photograph from 1945. The camp has now completely disappeared.
