In July 1943, two British and three Greek MO4 agents landed on this beach as part of Operation Choralist. The five agents had boarded ML 361 in Mersa Matruh. At the same time, the agents who had landed on Crete as part of Operation Faculty (Albumen) were picked up here and returned safely to Mersa Matruh.
