-"To commemorate the adoption of H.M.S. Fleetwood by the city of Wells and the rural district of well. Warship week March 1942"
HMS Fleetwood was a Grimsby class sloop launched in 1936. She served as a convoy escort during WW2 and is credited with sinking German submarines U-528 and U-340. She was scrapped in 1959
