Sailors' Point

Sailor’s Memorial commemorates the men and women of the Royal Canadian Navy, the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserves, the Royal Canadian Navy Reserves, Women's Royal Naval Service, and the Merchant Navy. Erected in 1986 by the Vancouver Naval Veterans Association it faces Vancouver Harbour. On the base of the memorial are the words of the Act of Remembrance; "At the going down of the Sun and in the Morning we will remember them” and images of His Majesties Canadian Ships which were lost during the Second World War. Nearest the water there is a memorial plaque to Robert Hampton Gray Victoria Cross who was from British Columbia.
