This small but special museum in Cheltenham Cemetery displays original wooden crosses that marked the temporary graves of fallen soldiers from Cheltenham during the First World War. After the official cemeteries were built, it was decided that the crosses should be returned to the relatives, who often did not know what to do with them. In 1928, the soldiers' corner was created in Cheltenham Cemetery for 230 crosses. The 23 preserved crosses, now more than a hundred years old, have been restored and can be seen in this museum, together with the stories of the fallen.
