Stelling van Amsterdam - V.I.S. Machine Gun Bunker Slotertocht
In 1934, three concrete V.I.S. casemates were built along Rijksweg 4 to block access to Fortress Holland. Rijkswaterstaat (the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) covered the costs. Each V.I.S. casemate had a crew of 5-6 men.
