Memorial for the fallen Sailors of Kristiansund

This monument, consisting of a sea mine on a pillar, commemorates the sailors and fishermen from Kristiansund who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars, mainly due to sea mines. A plaque has been affixed to the pillar with the following text:

'Minne over Sjømenn fra Kristiansund som falt under Verdenskriegene, 1914-1918 og 1939-1945'
(Memorial to sailors from Kristiansund who lost their lives during the World Wars of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. They gave us their lives when it mattered)
