Memorial Stille Rom

It is a monument to 65 civilians who died in the winter of 1944. Two Norwegian torpedo boats were hiding near the island of Ekkilsøy (Averøy) They had the order to attack an enemy convoy that was expected. They see 2 ships coming: and the boats Irma and Henry were tragically torpeded. The monument was opened in 2002 by the Norwegian king.
