Monument Veljko Vlahovic

Veljko Vlahovic was a Montenegrin politician and army officer (major general). He was a prominent member of the Montenegrin branch of the Yugoslav Communist Party from 1935, which founded the SFR Yugoslavia after World War II.
He fought in the Spanish Civil War and was active in the organization of the Communist Youth League of Yugoslavia.

During World War II, he directed the radio station of Free Yugoslavia. In 1944, he became editor of the Yugoslav communist daily newspaper Borba.
