Dutch Gravestone Square of Nations KZ Flossenburg

On the “Platz der Nationen” (Square of Nations), nineteen natural stone gravestones lie opposite each other. Each gravestone commemorates the victims of a particular nationality who were killed in Camp Flossenbürg. The Dutch memorial plaque is a horizontal natural stone gravestone bearing the Dutch lion and the text:

'HERE FELL 1162 DUTCH PEOPLE

Their sacrifice became our freedom
They lost years of their lives
We can gain a century'
