German War Graves Brakel

This cemetery on Kaiser Wilhelm Hain, dedicated on 11 September 1954, commemorates 286 Germans who died in action.
Most of them died in the last two months of World War II in East Westphalia and were scattered across smaller cemeteries in the cantons of Höxter, Lemgo, Detmold, Minden, and Paderborn.
Eighteen of them died in 1945 in the Brakel region, 23 in the city's military hospital
19 could not be identified.
Among them are five civilian victims, and five victims of World War I are also commemorated.
The High Cross that adorns the cemetery and the headstones were carved from Weser sandstone
