Artwork "Snow Owl of Peace"
On the 20 September2023, the "Snow Owl of Peace" was installed at the foot of the Canadian monument. It is the work of Canadian sculptor Marie-Josée Leroux.
Like the motto, the snowy owl is the symbol of the state of Quebec, where the 22nd Royal Regiment originated.
The decision was made to depict a snowy owl taking flight because its outstretched wings symbolize peace.
