New Amerongen First Aid Station

In May 1940, an emergency first aid station was set up on the Nieuw Amerongen estate.

Wounded soldiers were transported from an aid station, or wounded nest, located closer to the defense line, by stretcher or vehicle to a first aid station. A first aid station was located approximately 2 kilometers behind each regiment's defense line.
