Harold Bellamy Brailsford. Leading Cook. LT/MX 85792. H.M. Trawler Rysa. Royal Navy Patrol Service. Died 8 Dec 1943. Aged 41. Commemorated on Lowestoft Naval Memorial, UK.
HMT Rysa was launched in 15 Mar 1941 and commissioned on 13 Aug 1941. She participated in the Invasion of Oran and Algiers, escorted convoys through the Mediterranean and the capture of Pantellaria and Lamperdusa. She was sunk by a mine off Maddallena, Italy on 8th Dec 1943 with the loss of 19 crew.
