Murat Deportees Memorial

Museum/Memorial for the deportees from Murat.

The monument for the deportees from Murat commemorates the 121 inhabitants of Murat who were arrested by the German army on 12 and 24 June 1944. Immersed in darkness, you immediately feel connected to the place upon arrival. Accompanied by a sound and light show, visitors are invited to relive the resistance, the deportation and survival in the camps.

Sound and light effects take you through the photo gallery, where you can relive moments from the resistance and deportation and see how some of Murat's inhabitants survived in the concentration camp during the war.

The museum is not recommended for children under the age of twelve.

For current visiting hours, please contact the museum.
