Memorial Incourt

At the back of St. Peter's Church hang two memorial plaques bearing the names of those who fell in the First and Second World Wars.

Below each name is a text:
1914-1918:
“Soldiers, they fought innocently and fearlessly.
We owe our victory to these noble martyrs.
They upheld justice, their country, and their honor.
The parish will cherish their memory forever.”

1940-1945:
“Heeding the call of their homeland,
they went to war for her.
Poor innocent victims
bravely gave their lives.
Far from their families, on foreign soil,
they courageously went to their deaths.
The entire parish will forever cherish a pious memory
of these noble children.
Rest in peace.”
