Mass grave of Lieutenants Lorenz Engel, Maximilian Franz and Private Georg Doelger

Existing grave in Langensoultzbach, of three German soldiers involved in the Battle of Woerth-Froeschwiller.

Lorenz Engel from Erlangen, lieutenant in the Royal Bavarian 6th Hunters Battalion,
died at the age of 32 in the Battle of Woerth.

Maximilian Franz, lieutenant in the 10th Battalion of the Royal Bavarian Hunters,
born on 24 October 1842, died on 6 August 1870, in the Battle of Woerth.

Georg Doelger, volunteer for one year, in the 10th Battalion of the Royal Bavarian Hunters,
born on 6 November 1848, died on 6 August 1870, in the Battle of Woerth.
