War Memorial Bliesheim

Next to St. Lambertus church in Bliesheim stands this memorial in the form of of St. George. To the right of this are three concrete slabs bearing the names of victims and missing persons from both World Wars. The memorial was inaugurated on September 18, 1955. The text on the memorial reads:

SAINT GEORGE THE WARRIOR AND MARTYR

PROTECT THE COMMUNITY ENTRUSTED TO YOU IN THE STRUGGLE AND HARDSHIPS OF WAR

WITH THIS MEMORIAL THE COMMUNITY OF BLIESHEIM HONORS ITS SONS WHO FELL IN THE WORLD WARS OF 1914-18 AND 1939-45
